Vincent Okotel - Executive Director

Vincent Okotel is a co-founder of Ayohrec Adolescents and Youth Health Research Center with  interest in researching adolescent health. His experience as a science teacher in both national and international schools has given him insight into the mental health and drug abuse issues that young people face. Vincent takes great pleasure in seeing the impact of projects on the beneficiaries’ faces.

 

As the Executive Director of AYOHREC, Vincent is responsible for developing and executing strategic plans, creating and managing initiatives and programs, fundraising and grant writing, fostering community partnerships, overseeing program monitoring and evaluation, managing staff, and reporting program activities and impact to the Board of Directors.

 

Vincent is a graduate of Makerere University, with a Master of Science in Population and Reproductive Health and a Bachelor of Biological Sciences with Education. He has also undergone various training and obtained certifications in several areas, including Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning from the Humanitarian Leadership Academy, Biostatistics in Public Health (Specialization) from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, M&E Fundamentals from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health- Global eLearning Center, and Family Planning 101 from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health- Global eLearning Center.
